A diverse and inclusive church of more than twenty nationalities. We welcome and serve all people in the name of Jesus Christ.
Whether you are living in Finland or just visiting, we hope that St Nicholas' will always be a spiritual home for you. Our services are conducted in English and follow the liturgy of the Church of England.
We are people of all denominations — and any who are just starting out on, or returning to, the journey of faith. Come as you are; there is a place for you at our table.
Our storySung Eucharist each Sunday at 10:00, followed by coffee and fellowship for all.
Join us →A choir drawn from our congregation and Helsinki's musicians, with monthly Choral Evensong.
Discover music →Sunday School and youth group during term, plus monthly All-Age services for everyone.
For families →St Nicholas' was founded a century ago by Anglicans fleeing the Russian Revolution — from St Petersburg, to Vyborg, and finally to Helsinki. The cross and altar plate we still use today travelled with them from the English Church in St Petersburg.
From the start, ours has been a church of welcome for those far from home. Today, through a long and warm partnership with the Lutheran Church of Finland, we are hosted at the landmark Mikael Agricola Church — worshipping each Sunday in English, in the heart of the city.
